About the role:

Classy fundraising platform helps millions of supporters safely and securely donate to nonprofits and the inspiring causes they stand for. We’re looking for an experienced Content Marketing Strategist and writer to manage and lead our content team. The ideal candidate comes from a high-growth B2B/SaaS background with experience building awareness and evolving brands through engaging content and storytelling. This individual will lead the development of a comprehensive and cohesive content strategy, creating a strong and recognizable brand presence across all channels that advances Classy’s editorial vision and mission.

What you’ll accomplish:

  • Develop and execute a content strategy across all channels that engages throughout the funnel leading to strong performance results
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and yearly content marketing plans and publishing calendars
  • Manage day-to-day content creation, editing, and reporting of the results
  • Research competitors’ content, messaging and distribution tactics to ensure Classy has a differentiated voice and is staying ahead of others in the space.
  • Serve as an exemplary writer - drafting clean, concise, well-polished copy.
  • Conceptualize and create Classy data reports and white papers, working with internal and external data partners to analyze survey results and turn them into useful findings for our nonprofit audience.
  • Copy edit all contributed content and marketing materials including, but not limited to, emails, guides, blog copy, reports, press releases, and social media copy.
  • Act as Classy’s gatekeeper, making sure all content produced adheres to the brand guidelines - maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Continual monitoring and analysis of published content to use these insights to inform future marketing plans and provide intelligence for the overall marketing strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges in order to build a more effective editorial calendar.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, marketing teammates, and other departments to create effective communications strategies that articulate our product’s core benefits properly.
  • Drive growth and user engagement and oversee quality control across our organic social channels.
  • Maintain the strategic brand voice that strengthens Classy’s brand and platform offering.

What you bring (Required):

  • 5+ years of work experience in writing, journalism, content marketing, or related field (nonprofit, Saas and/or FinTech experience a major plus)
  • A proven track record of building communities online, copywriting, and creative content development
  • Operational excellence: an advanced ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, naturally collaborative with the ability to work across different levels of seniority and business functions.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with knowledge of AP style.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO
  • Experience with WordPress, Hubspot, Marketo, or similar software.
  • Strong knowledge of content marketing strategy and channels.
  • Strong research skills and attention to detail
  • A strategic thinker, excellent collaborator and brilliant executor
  • Writing skill that exhibits tremendous range and demonstrates the ability to take complex subjects and communicate them in simple, human ways to our customers.
  • A track record of attracting, retaining, and growing an audience through the use of compelling content

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $120,000.00-$165,000.00 + equity + benefits. As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
